The Company

Netcel are a leading digital agency, based in St Albans, Herts, who through sustained growth, were extending their office space and as part of that process they need a new telephony platform.

The Challenge

  • Move from a landlord controlled switch to their own platform.
  • No break in service.
  • Log all calls.
  • Route certain calls to engineers mobiles out of normal office hours.
  • An expandable platform.
  • On board software applications.
  • To select the right partner for the project Netcel issued a Request for Proposal that went out to a number of different vendors. Exchange Communications UK Limited was one of a number of vendors that were selected to demonstrate a solution.
  • Following a demonstration of the NEC SV 8100 at the Exchange Communications UK limited offices in St Albans and meetings to discuss how the project would run, Exchange Communications UK Limited was selected as the partner to go forward with.

The Solution

  • The NEC SV8100 was the telecommunications platform.
  • ISDN 30 with DDI
  • Voice mail, My calls manager, and desktop
  • Flexible approach cut over

The Outcome

Following the successful cut over from the old landlord supplied system to the SV 8100, Exchange Communications UK Limited staff attended site on the first day of operations, in order to train Netcel staff in the various applications and use of handsets. Netcel have a support contract with Exchange Communications UK Limited where we assist with any day to day changes that are required as well as repairing any faults that occur. Howard Hawkins Finance Director at Netcel said “Netcel have been delighted with the platform and with the attention throughout the implementation and deployment of the project”. Exchange Communications UK Limited will now be supporting Netcel over the coming years as they grow and expand their business and the systems grows and adapts with them.
